Our Ohmni just had the chance to interact and show off its coolness with guests at the Content Pick-up Party 10.1 last week.
Content Magazine is a bi-monthly magazine which aims at articulating the innovative and creative culture at Silicon Valley by connecting the people, events, and businesses there. Their networking events and the magazine proved to be a great opportunity for our Ohmni to get exposed to the diverse community in the South Bay. And this is what they had to say about it in the magazine’s latest issue:
Earlier this week, the Ohmni robot was a delightful encounter by attendees at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice annual conference in Long Beach, CA. The focus of the conference this year was Quality: quality of care, quality at work, and quality at home.
On Wednesday October 11th, Jared Go, CTO of Ohmnilabs was invited to speak at the prestigious SOCAP17 conference. SOCAP is the world’s leading conference with the ambition to create positive social and environmental influences by raising the power of the capital market. The conference saw some impactful panels, one of which was the "We’re All Getting Older! Social Entrepreneurship Challenges & Opportunities in the Aging Economy" panel.
This weekend, from October 13 to October 15, Ohmni will make its first appearance at the Novi Home Show 2017 in West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA.
Apart from being a telepresence robot that helps to connect people from anywhere in the world, Ohmni took on a new role last Saturday at a fundraiser - "Our Untold Journey" organized by
VietSeeds Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to bringing equal access to college education for underprivileged students in Vietnam.
Ohmni's auction at the event brought about 6,000 USD, which is an equivalent of 6 scholarships that will help to cover 75% of the tuition and living expenses for 6 Viet Seeds for one year in college. Apart from that, all the Seeds also receive trainings and works phops outside of their academic study to prepare them for the real world challenges.
Ohmnilabs' CEO and co-founder Thuc Vu happens to be one of the two founders of VietSeeds. The other co-founder is Vu Van, the co-founder of Elsa Speak App. They both share one same value which led them to establish VietSeeds together. "I have been very lucky all my life so far to be supported by many people I have encountered on my path. I just want to pay it forward, and that was one of the reasons why I founded VietSeeds," said Thuc.
