OhmniLabs is proud to announce its Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Dr. Thuc Vu, is an honoree of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2017 40 Under 40 list. The award recognizes an elite group of professionals across various industries in Silicon Valley who have significantly impacted the business world.

Vu, a serial entrepreneur, combines social, business and technical acumen to lead the organization in its pursuit of delivering affordable robotics to revolutionize senior care. Prior to his work at Ohmnilabs, he cofounded two companies, Katango and Tappy, that were acquired by Google and Weeby.co, respectively. These organizations helped manage, navigate and optimize social networks and build online communities. Vu also holds a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD from Stanford University, both in computer science. He is also a research scientist and assistant professor at the John Von Neumann Institute of Vietnam National University.
Dr. Vu’s philanthropy focuses on providing college access to underprivileged students in Vietnam. He is the cofounder of VietSeeds, a nonprofit delivering scholarships, career training and mentoring programs for students, with the aim of helping them garner in-field education, job placement and a life-long commitment to community service.
